Dressing Gown Fabrics

Design and manufacture of dressing gowns has been our speciality for over twelve years. Our hooded, classic shawl collar and kimono style robes are made from all natural materials including pure European linen, cotton waffle, Turkish organic cotton and Egyptian cotton terry towelling and velour.

Pure European Linen

Linen is wonderfully cool in summer and lightweight. Our linen robes are made in Europe from high quality European linen with hem stitch detailing to create a simple elegant design. Linen can be washed at up to 95 deg C (but 40 degrees is sufficient) and is more easily ironed when damp. Linen, in common with all natural fibres will shrink up to 5% when washed for the first time.

Cotton Waffle

Cotton waffle is a traditional lightweight woven fabric with a pattern very much like a breakfast waffle (though flatter). It is light and comfortable to wear making it popular for hot countries and spas. Waffle fabric is perfect for embroidered names or one of our motifs, creating a wonderful gift for friends and family, or an indulgent treat for yourself.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is often much softer and smoother than treated cotton as it has not been subject to harsh chemicals such as bleach, which damage the cotton fibres and also reduce the life of the cotton fabic. Our organic cotton robes are dyed naturally using traditional plant extracts, so they are kinder to the planet too.

Cotton Towelling

Cotton towelling robes are made with traditional terry with loop pile on both the outside and inside to create a luxuriously soft, warm, heavy weight robe perfect to snuggle up in when you get out of the bath or shower. We use only the very best pure natural cotton sourced from Turkey.

Cotton Velour

Our velour dressing gowns have velvet pile on the outside and traditional terry with loop pile on the inside giving all the advantages of both fabrics. Velour is an excellent fabric for robes as it does not pull - especially for children either at bathtime, on the beach or at the swimming pool.
